Sunday Morning
Sunday morning here in overcast London. Chris went for a workout and I stayed and did some apps (yes you newcomers this is the monkey who e-mailed you).
We are planning to hit the pubfor the Arsenal vs. Spurs game then off to mother’s for the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding.
Living in Oregon for so long I’m used to the weekend being filled with football (the other kind). Everything over here is soccer so I’m doing a mental change of speed.
Jen Leo and I are doing a virtual high 5 after Palmer’s Heisman.

So the question is…are you a Spurs or Arsenal fan?
D,
He is a big time Arsenal fan
As he should be!
Hi guys,
Yes I am an Arsenal fan, in fact my brother and I just watched every goal of their ‘94-’95 season on video ( re living the glory ).
Watching the game at my dad’s favourite pub, the Half Moon I was surrounded by his buddies and a large number of soccer fans, some screaming at players hoping for some moment of telepathy.
The game was 1-1, Arsenal getting outplayed but grabbing a penalty. I had a little moment of contention while chatting to some Spurs fans who said they ‘deserved to win’. I pointed out that soccer is about converting possession into shots and shots into goals. They told me I didn’t know much about soccer ( how else do you measure who’s best? ).
Anyway the smokey atmosphere takes some getting used to for me. I’ll probably be back there on Christmas day and have been warned beers will be arriving from out of nowhere quicker than you can spit.
Nick

i write this in the philippines (after my mom’s death). coming to terms with all these stuff, but otherwise well and good, doing my usual research/writing stuff. (this time on indigenous reproductive health. hmmm)
