Breakfast with “soon to leave” travelers
Shawn Kobb (skobb) e-mailed me a week or so ago about going out for breakkie with him and his wife Jennifer. I met them both at the the Hawthorne Cafe at 6:55 a.m. this morning but they were closed ’till 7:30 so we strolled 2 block down to the Cup and Saucer.
They are both leaving on a year long trip in the next few weeks so we got together since I will miss their party next week. Be sure to follow along once Shawn starts posting more regularly on the trip. He is an excellent writer as evidenced by his participation on the Boot Boards.
It was fun to hear about how there trip is shaping up, how they are preparing to leave, pack up, sell stuff, plan and simply getting super stoked about it. The selfish part of me is a bit sad that to 2 of my new friends from Portland are leaving for good. But overall, I am happy for them that they followed through on the planning and dreaming and they are going for it.
Have a great trip…I’ll be following your trip Shawn and Jennifer.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
