General Craziness
So the past few days have been interesting. So far “my office” has included Irving Park, World Cup and Coffee, two different Starbucks, my house, a friend’s car and the ‘normal’ office. The construction guys were a bit off in their start date, so I have been here for a few hours each day for a hard internet connection and a chance to catch up with Sean, Donovan and Dave. Although it’s been a bit chaotic, I’m liking the flexibilty, although I’m impatient for my wireless router to arrive at home so I can check out BNA without going to a coffee shop with wi-fi or coming to the office.
On Monday, a friend of Donovan’s from Tanzania, Nickson, was in town. Nickson, Donovan, Sean, Carrie (Donovan’s fiancee) Mary (a friend of D and Carrie) and I all went to the Portland City Grill for happy hour. Donovan was quick to point out the ’snipers’ on the roofs of nearby buildings (Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry was in town that afternoon). PCG is like the Signature Room in the John Hancock building. But way, way shorter.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

Your work environment is interesting, especially the “friend’s car.”
I liked your comparison between Portland City Grill and the Signature Room of the 95th in Chicago. Makes me nostalgic.
