I Need to Get Out More
Yes, it is Friday night at 7:30 and yes, I am posting on Boot Blog. In an attempt to make up for the crazy no office-new visitors-Thirsty Thursday week, my lack of internet connectivity at home (fixed it today!), and general life distractions, I was hoping to tie up some loose ends this evening. So far, loose ends have included: checking the score of the Timberwolves/Lakers game obsessively, customer service queries, yelling at my roommates, axing a member who was spamming the boards (ggrrrr…don’t mess with me on a Friday night, punk), figuring out how the DJ is going to get hooked up tomorrow (we are having a massive party on Saturday. The cops are going to come. I’m trying to be ok with this), approving new member apps, discussing our writing guidelines with a Portland area college student, putting images in articles, and attempting to figure out how to sit on my bed without having my really hot computer on my lap. I think I’m going to give up now. ![]()

I find the best thing is an empty 3 inch binder.
Books are good but the empty binder provides ample airflow, heat extraction, AND props the laptop up so you can see the keys better.
I really dont know what day it is… I’m in spain and looking at the blog.
chris-
shouldn’t you be updating your own?
yeah, i go for the book method sometimes too, russ, but my legs go numb! ![]()

I have about 10 entries, the problem is that I can’t find a place with a USB port to transfer them from the alphasmart…
and I’m lazy…
For someone at home on a Friday evening, you sound as though you have plenty to do - and not at all dull.
I have an old wooden baby doll crib left over from when my niece was little. It sits over my legs like a bed table and the open slats underneath it allows the laptop to gently heat my legs.
What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

I’ve found that a firm book beneath the laptop is the key- that way air can still get to the fans and stuff beneath the box.
Heh, look at me; it’s late Friday night and I’m working on an SQL issue with my site and browsing ORblogs and yours.
