New VW MicroBus Cancelled
We were expecting a new styled VW Microbus to debut in 2005. But according to this article, production has been halted. Damn - Chris and I wanted to get one and send it on the road for more then 26 days every 2 years.
Any other ideas for a vehicle that could do the same? We are looking for something that can provide sleeping quarters for 2, convert into working quarters, and provide as much livable/convertable space as possible…I may be dreaming

A true shame, indeed. Those camper-fitted VW Eurovans are probably pretty close though. There was one parked up the street for a couple weeks when we were in Eugene and altho it’s not as attractive as a traditional VW bus, it still had most of everything inside of it.
