Behind the Scenes at BootsnAll
By Sean | PermalinkAugust 1st. I can’t believe that the month that marks the end of summer is here already. It barely started!
Anyway, a lot of things have been happening behind the scenes at BootsnAll, and I have a few minutes on this Sunday morning before I go to the gym and watch Greg Maddux and new Cub Nomar Garciaparra go after Maddux’s 300th win while I workout for a while)
First thing, a milestone that Chris and I (as well as Dave, Mary, Brian, Ant, and Nick helped on over the years) was reached a few days ago. We submitted Chris’ L-1 Visa application for processing. We’ll hear back from the gov’t in 15 days. Our immigration lawyer says it should be a “slam dunk” - but until he has the stamp in in passport, I will stay uneasy.
This process began in 1999 - and culminates with this application. We have a company and subsidiary company in Australia that is doing legitimate business, and our structure is in line with everything the US gov’t expects. We have dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s and I really can’t wait to hear back from them. Chris is crictical to BootsnAll’s operations and future growth…I hope the case we built shows that and the immigration folks approve it.
Meanwhile, the BootsnAll office on 13th and Fremont has been under construction for 10 week now. The homestrech on the contruction appears to be here (Muddying of the Dry wall is starting monday) and I hope we can all get back into it before september 1st.
If you are into praying or sending good vibes, please send a few along for our visa application for Chris.

I would send La Migra my personal recommendation for Chris but that would probably sink his application.
Here’s hoping he sails through.
