New BootsnAll

Chris and I have been up for 20 hours a day the past 3. A very soft launch on BootsnAll. What is it?

- A new look
- Navigates geographically

Most folks will not notice….yes - we know parts are broken. Why did we still go forward….at some point you gotta bite the bullet and go forward instead of waiting till it is perfect. (It only took us about 3.5 years) With 100’s of 1000s of hand coded pages…converting them to a dynamic site involves some pain ie: parts that won’t be perfect.

We’ll be cracking on them ASAP and lotsa new features coming soon to make planning your trip and connecting with travelers WAY better and easier. So the end result will be good stuff. :-0 - bare with us and thanks for your support and comments.

CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! I know you’ve worked hard on this. I’m checking it out now and can’t wait to talk to you about it! Though at 8am I hope you’re sleeping in and treating yourself to a really good breakfast.

Yay!

In general it looks good - quite subtle isn’t it…

my only gripe is that there doesn’t seem to be links to author’s other stories - I always find it interesting to read other stories by people after you are drawn to one…

PB:

Goto the bottom of the author’s story…you’ll see a box with links to similiar stories - click on the author’s name and you’ll see a page with all the stories written by that author.

sean

a zillion apologies - as you well know I am a dangerous muppet when it comes to computers so I didnt spot this first time around. Now I see it I love it - I would like to think that the time we shared a bed together contributed to this brilliance but I think I may well be deluded…

anway, congrats on 6 years (!!!) of Bootsnall and I love the new site…

awesome

What is BootBlog?

BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.
