Gobble Gobble!
I love the holidays. Really, I do. I love finding the perfect gift for someone, I love Christmas carols, I love lights and, most of all, I love the food. And I mean, LOVE the food. What better excuse is there to gain five pound that during the holidays? I’m pretty sure the average weight gain for an American adult is 7 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years. We’re going to try to avoid it this year, but we’ll see, given my addiction to anything sweet…or homemade…or just damn good. It was never a problem when I was working retail during the holiday season - although there were plenty of things to snack on in the back room, we always ran around so much (not to mention the hefty walk to and from the car) that stuffing yourself whenever you could felt justified.
Here is where I ask everyone to be as nice as possible to people working retail this season. Although you *hate* the mall and how chaotic it is, think about the people that have to be there for it EVERY DAY and fight the crowds EVERY DAY. It sucks. So, give them a smile, wish them a happy holiday and thank the stars you’re don’t have to work there.
For all you celebrating Thanksgiving - have a happy turkey day and enjoy your time with friends and family.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
