New York, New York
So I was ready to be posting from the traditional Wi-Fi place at PDX airport before my 7am departure to New York. But I arrived, checked in and they put me on an earlier flight to Seattle. I still had to wait for my connection to Newark, but Sea-Tac does not offer free wi-fi so I didn’t get to post at all.
I’m in the Big Apple for the GEL Conference (although I could just as easily have been going for the TravelCom Expo). It should be very interesting and I’ll be hanging out with some pretty switched on folks. Hope I don’t look like too much of an idiot!
This is my first time in New York and it’s always been one of those mythical places I see in the movies - kinda like LA (where I was two weekends ago - Beverly Hills and the Hollywood sign). It will be interesting to see how my perceptions match the reality, but I’m looking forward to getting out and exploring what I can when I have some free time.

That could be tough, Mary.
What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
