London Bombings
By Hydro | Permalink |So soon after being awarded the 2012 summer Olympics, London made the news again today for a series of bombings in multiple tube stations and a double decker bus. The death toll is currently 40 and it could easily have been so many more. Anyone who has been to London and ridden on the tube at peak hour knows how crowded those trains and station platforms can become.
The BootsnAll community has been sharing their sympathies and support on the boards and no doubt London Blog author Chris O’Neill will be sharing his first hand account over the next couple of days.

From the late Sir Winston Churchill, speech of Oct. 29, 1941:
“Sometimes imagination makes things out far worse than they are; yet without imagination not much can be done. Those people who are imaginative see many more dangers than perhaps exist; certainly many more than will happen; but then they must also pray to be given that extra courage to carry this far-reaching imagination. But for everyone . . . this is the lesson: Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never–in nothing, great or small, large or petty–never give in except to the convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force.”
