Hey, does this office smell funny to you?

plantsI’m back to working in the office for the next few weeks (or months, not sure yet) after having worked at home since last September, and it’s a nice change. I mean, I love my cats, but they won’t converse with me. At least my coworkers will. I think.

So far, the biggest adjustment in coming back to working in the office - aside from not being able to wear my pajamas all day long - has been the, erm, smell. Apparently late last week the gang added a bunch of new potted plants to the office - they’re all over the place now, in every room and on some desks. There’s even a plant in the bathroom. They’re quite lovely, and the good news is that we’re all getting lots more oxygen now. We’ll see if that improves our productivity.

The drawback is that the potting soil is rather pungent… I’m sure it’s great for the plants and all, and I’m also sure that over time it’ll be less aromatic. And in the meantime, I just have to keep reminding myself that I didn’t step in anything walking into the office.

Feel free to wear your PJ’s in the office if you like. It’s not like anyone here would really mind.

And we’ll only converse with you through blog comments. It’s an approved way to communicate here at BnA.

Now get back to work! :P

Great post - had me cracking up, especially the last sentence!

Some pajamas are way more fashionable than what I see on the street!

Has Sean been fertilizing the plants again?

Reign that boy in Mary!
