Bali: Bomb Scarred Island

Just Read Nick’s latest post about Bush visiting Bali

Arriving at Internet Outpost in Kuta I checked Yahoo for news and they went on about the President’s visit to ‘the front line of the war on terror’ and ‘the bomb scarred island of Bali’. Jeez, sure doesn’t feel like the place I live in.

Bomb scarred island…that is fucking ridiculous to even say that. Bomb scarred sounds like Germany in 1945….not Bali in 2003.

Can you say “fear”? Panic merchants are in full swing folks. The market is open…buy your fear here!

hey sean i have not been to kuta since1974 sounds like its changed heaps ive got to get back there i had an old friend there called martin javanese guy long straight hair about 47 years old always hanging out round kuta madas juice bar poppies ect he had friends johnny and loren johny died late 70s loren lived in denpasar hung around kutai know this is a strange reqest if u could maybe ask some local identity if they have ever heard of these guys or maybe put there names on notice board 4 me my name is david from lismore nsw aust i am desperate 2 find these old friends maybe i will be able 2 return the favour to you thanks
