Slam!
Date: March 11th, 2002 |
It’s Monday, and even though Monday is traditionally the day we all dread, I actually really really like Mondays – because of a little thing called slam.
Here in Eugene we have the University of Oregon, and there’s a coffee house in their student union building. On Monday nights that coffee house is taken over [...]
Rainy Eugene
Date: March 11th, 2002 |
It’s a rainy day here in Eugene and I’m enjoying a cup of tea before heading off to do the laundry at the Downtown Athletic Club.
Just getting some air.
The next few days don’t look too promising. Just look at that weather forecast.

Chris and Sean are out of the house today, Ant is doing his own thing and all I have going on is the view of my Ugg boots.

Date: March 9th, 2002 |
This afternoon after work I checked my e-mail and was surprised to find an e-mail from my Israeli friend Kathy, who I met in Nepal in ‘95. I haven’t heard from her in a while and was getting very worried with all the random violence that is going on over there.
It’s great [...]

One of the most inspiring sights I saw when travelling was the dawn over Mt. Bromo. I layers of sulphur would hang in the air and change color as the angle of the sun changed. The whole place has a very unique atmosphere.

This house smells like a brewery!
Date: March 6th, 2002 |
Brewing beer is FUN. I mean, really fun. Making something from scratch and knowing that you’ll be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour (but not right away) is kinda cool. Maybe people that bake have the same feeling. Maybe not.
I may not be investing in my long term financial future right this [...]

Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. Member Spotlight
It's been awhile since we had a BootsnAll member stop by the office. However, thank to a recent post on the message boards wondering where the Boots Crew were these days, we managed to arrange lunch with Bideshi, aka Mike (blue shirt below).
With a couple of stints working in South …
