Mt. Hood from the BootBus
Date: February 26th, 2004 |
I had a meeting in Eugene yesterday, which gave me the chance to pick-up the BootBus. It was left in Eugene the past 2.5 months since I was away and a mate of mine could work on it.
It was a beautiful sunny avo on the drive back and I attempted to take a few [...]
Random Stuff and BootsnAll Portland Airport Service
Date: February 23rd, 2004 |
Since Court and Donovan started 3 weeks ago, I have been super busy, and a bit unsure about what to post on BootBlog. Not sure why I was/am…so I’ll just dive back into it this morning and see what happens.

So–I’ve learned one very important thing about Portland. No matter how nice it looks right now, chances are it will be raining in half an hour. It also works in reverse, but not as often. Donovan and I have been working on new content for the site since last week. We’ve [...]

Rebecca Fowler Visits BNA HQ
Date: January 31st, 2004 |
Longtime BootsnAll member Rebecca Fowler e-mailed me a few days ago when I was in Bali to see if we could meet up in Portland since she is here for a few weeks. Since I was feeling better this morning, she swung by (as did Court) for a breakfast at the Tin Shed.

I don’t really get this thread - but it did make me chuckle this morning.
Of course, went to the Tin Shed not 9 hours after I landed at PDX. The place has a new menu, paint job, same friendly people and still great breakkie. I can honestly say I have traveled the [...]

G’day and Happy New Year from sunny Australia,
I arrived in Australia just before Christmas and BootsnAll is working from it’s Southern Hemisphere Office (ha, ha - it’s a basement bunker). It feels like we are starting off the year in pure travel mode ourselves. I have not been home for almost five weeks [...]

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

One of the things that tends to happen when I talk to people about my job at BootsnAll is the, "Oh, you're so lucky!" moment. I do consider myself extremely fortunate to be able to write about travel every day - to do something I love so much that work doesn't feel …

Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]

Awhile back I posted here about getting into the Boston Globe Travel Show for free. Turns out that was for the trade conference during the day on Friday Feb 19th, not the travel show for regular consumers like you and me that runs from the evening of Friday, February 19 to …
