Date: July 12th, 2005 | 3 comments

Here at BnA HQ, we’re all decently active runners - note the insert of the word “active” so I can apply that statement to myself. I’m defintely slower than Sean, Chris and Donovan but I still get out and about. From the office we have three ‘lunch loops’ that are awesome for running [...]

Court’s Race Report

Date: June 27th, 2005 | 2 comments

So, it’s common after a big race for all the triathletes to write up race reports and send them out on listserves. I’m not quite that cool, but I am pretty psyched about finishing the race so I figured I’d tell you guys all the details. WARNING: It’s pretty boring unless you’re into [...]

The BootsnAll gathering at the Lucky Lab in SE Portland was an awesome night out. There were around 17 people at any one time and the festivities continued into the wee hours.
Cracker Jillian provided a warts-n-all account on the boards and Capt Steve has posted some of the photos already.

Law of the NBA: Stern discipline

Date: May 5th, 2005 | No Comments

As a former rabid basketball fan (I lived in Chicago in the early ’90s), I still poke around in the sports section, especially during the playoffs. Times columnist Eric Gilmore has written what I consider to be a excellent, scathing article of the head honcho of the NBA in Law of the NBA: Stern discipline. [...]

Tri It!

Date: April 4th, 2005 | 5 comments

This really has nothing to do with what’s going on in the office, but some of you may recall that a few months ago I posted about Pacific Crest Half-Ironman in June. In order to prepare, I have been training a whole bunch and this weekend did my first triathlon. It was a [...]

A New Direction for BootsnAll

Date: April 1st, 2005 | 168 comments

Every day we turn on the news to hear another report of death, danger, fear and destruction overseas. We read about it in our newspapers, we see it flash across our computer screens. For years, we have resisted these warnings and encouraged travelers to set out and explore the world on their own [...]

What is BootBlog?

BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.

There's gonna be a Bootie wedding!
Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]
