Business Travel
My father is in Asia this week. In a period of six days, he is visiting Korea, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong. An excerpt from his e-mail: “Lunchtime in Korea…went to a Chinese restaurant and ate things I didn’t recognize with chopsticks…then got a coffee frappacino from starbucks.” The idea of extensive overseas travel facinates me, because I think being sent all over the world in a private jet with good food and an expense account sounds very novel. However, I’m sure my father is absolutely exhausted and it’s not really all that fun after all, since all the cultural immersion he gets is eating food with chopsticks and the ‘historic sites’ will be the inside of hotels and office buildings, with some nice views out the airplane window. I hope sometime he gets to spend a few extra days over there, and is able to at least get the feel of country before he has to move onto another one.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]
