What was your first passport stamp?
The UK.
How did you find BootsnAll, &/or what attracted you to it?
Word of mouth.
What keeps you coming back to BootsnAll?
The Information. The Humor. The Free Gear - oops wrong site
No really, it is the community on the boards.
Is there a destination you have really liked in spite of it having a poor reputation?
I don’t let the reputation stop me from going or influence my first impressions. I find that if you do that, you are open to things as they happen and come away from the experience better for it.
Do you have any upcoming trips? Where is next on your list?
Puerto Rico, Goa
What is a place you’ve been to that you would go back to tomorrow given the chance?
An Daingean, Ireland.
How many miles will you be travelling to be at the BootsnAll Party?
Less than 5 miles. (Portland is now where I hang my hat)
What kind of boots do you have?
Vasque for hiking, Asolo for climbing, fun/tall ones for everything else.
Have you been to a BootsnAll party before? If so, what survival tips can you offer to any newbies?
Yes. Don’t drink the punch and beware of falling maps. No, in all seriousness, it is a blast. Don’t be shy. Come out and meet people.
Thanks for sharing, Calescence. Be sure to say hi to her if you’ll be joining us at the party!

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
