Kelly Sobczak
In October 2002 Kelly Sobczak returned from a long trip that included much of Asia and the Middle East. Now she’s about to head back:
Hi Anthony,
Since I have been home, I have been lousy with the e-mailing. Sorry for the slow responses.
Just wanted to say hello and to let you know I am heading out again at the end of the month. Not much is happening here at home, and so importing it is. Don’t know where I am going with this, and importing isn’t my first choice, but the items I sold in the fall had a very positive response, and so I figure why not.
I plan to spend about three months in Burma, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. This trip was decided just two weeks ago, and I am nuts trying to get ready, especially when it regards learning about importing.
This trip will be so different from the first. My mom says she won’t even come in the airport to see me off, considering she can’t come to the gate with me, and so it will just be dropping me off at the curb. Last time we bawled like babies during the preceeding weeks leading up to the departure. Plus, while I will try to get some writing done (I am trying to pitch a story to travel editors regarding Afghanistan as a lone female tourist), I won’t have the free time as I did before for all of the adventures and then to write about them.
In any case, I definitely will drop you a line from the road.
Hope all is well with you and the BnA team.
Take care,
Kelly

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

It's been awhile since we had a BootsnAll member stop by the office. However, thank to a recent post on the message boards wondering where the Boots Crew were these days, we managed to arrange lunch with Bideshi, aka Mike (blue shirt below).
With a couple of stints working in South …
