Kiva Update

Woohoo! A month ago we posted about Kiva and the microloans they offer to entrepreneurs in developing countries. We signed up and joined the BootsnAll Travel Network Groupies.

I just received an email letting me know that two of my loans have begun to be repaid. Dao Thi Tuoi in Viet Nam & Zenaida in Peru have both paid back around $4 of the $25 loans. Sweet! Once I have enough paid back I’ll re-lend to someone else.

If you’re not already involved with Kiva, consider it, and by all means join our group. And if you’re wondering what it’s all about, this cool video illustrates the process of your donation from clicking submit to repayment.
