Last Minute Holiday Shopping for Travelers
I know we’ve mentioned holiday shopping a few times already around here, but we know that there are some real procrastinators out there – and despite the fact that there are only a few shopping days left until Christmas (and the date by which you had to get stuff to the post office is long past), we wanted you to know that we’re still looking out for you.
See, some of the best last minute gifts for travelers aren’t things you need to ship, wrap, or – heck – even leave your home to buy. See, you don’t have to break the bank and buy flights to Cancun for the travel lover on your list, you just need to be a little creative.
There are gift cards and gift certificates galore that are just a click away, but my personal favorite is the suggestion to purchase an airport lounge membership for the traveler on your list – that’s one that will be unexpected and very much appreciated by any frequent traveler.
Business travelers may not need the airport lounge membership, since it’s likely they already have one (along with their elite travel status), but there are gifts that business travelers will love on that list, too. If the business/frequent traveler on your gift list has a Kindle, an iPad, or an iPhone, a gift card to Amazon or iTunes helps them stock up on favorite new books and music with a simple click – and doesn’t add any weight to what they’re already carrying.
Are you a parent looking for a great way to surprise your kids on Christmas morning? A surefire way to do that is to give them the gift of an upcoming trip. The guaranteed winner is Disney, of course, and there are lots of deals on offer these days to entice families, from cheap hotels in Disneyland to complete Disney packages.

It's been awhile since we had a BootsnAll member stop by the office. However, thank to a recent post on the message boards wondering where the Boots Crew were these days, we managed to arrange lunch with Bideshi, aka Mike (blue shirt below). With a couple of stints working in South … [Read more]
