Cop pulls over motorist on Fremont just outside our window
The city that works by sitting on their arse parked in front of our office.

Two things from a fellow Portlander.
1.) It’s actually “Fremont.”
2.) If you get pulled over by a cop on a motorcycle, you’re getting a ticket. Do no pass Go, do not collect $200. Those are the traffic police and all they do is give out tickets. If it’s a cop in a car, be nice and if you didn’t do anything too stupid, you’re probably okay.
In Portland for a meeting a few years ago (when we lived in Eugene), Sean and I saw some guy get nailed by a motorcycle cop for crossing the street against the light. I think we thought it was a bit harsh, but they take jaywalking seriously in the City of Roses.
I cant spel fer nuthing.
I too have fallen victim to the big-bike ,small-penis cops. They are an excitable lot.
My personal theory is an over-exposure to sydicated episodes of ‘CHiPs!’. They are probably just sore that they don’t have slavering harems of plantinum blondes in hot pants chasing them around. I mean, we can’t all BE Poncherello, cmon fellas.
Ah, television- a cruel mistress indeed.
‘plantinum’ and ’sydication’ I can’t spel for nutin either, it seems.. Doh’
That’s What I get for posting from my cell phone.
Well, I’m not so sure its a small penis thing. I can only speak for Portland since that’s where I work, but the motorcycle cops are strictly traffic so its basically their job to nail anyone who violates traffic laws and ticket them. The upside is, the normal street cars don’t have to worry about that stuff so much so if you get pulled over by one of them its because you annoyed them or they’re hoping you’re a serial killer and they’ll get the arrest.

BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? It's been awhile since we had a BootsnAll member stop by the office. However, thank to a recent post on the message boards wondering where the Boots Crew were these days, we managed to arrange lunch with Bideshi, aka Mike (blue shirt below).
With a couple of stints working in South …
