I can only speak for Portland since that's where I work, but the motorcycle cops are strictly traffic so its basically their job to nail anyone who violates traffic laws and ticket them. The upside is, the normal street cars don't have to worry about that stuff so much so if you get pulled over by one of them its because you annoyed them or they're hoping you're a serial killer and they'll get the arrest. They are an excitable lot. My personal theory is an over-exposure to sydicated episodes of 'CHiPs!'. They are probably just sore that they don't have slavering harems of plantinum blondes in hot pants chasing them around. I mean, we can't all BE Poncherello, cmon fellas.
