Random Stuff and BootsnAll Portland Airport Service
Since Court and Donovan started 3 weeks ago, I have been super busy, and a bit unsure about what to post on BootBlog. Not sure why I was/am…so I’ll just dive back into it this morning and see what happens.
I woke-up at 2:30 a.m. this morning to take Dewey and Donelle (2 BootsnAll members and friends) to the airport. They are going to Paris and Italy for 2 weeks and are super stoked as it is their first time.
They were both a bit surprised that I offered to take them. But I simply injoy (I meant to spell it that way) going to the airport and being around people as they start their trip…in fact, I also went with Court to the Airport yesterday to drop off her mate and I also did a Airport run at 4:45 am on Feb 13th for another BNA member and friend.
So, should I start a Shuttle service with the BootBus?
Other Stuff
I have been very busy since my return from Oz and Bali. Long productive days as we aim to get the 1st quarter off in a good way. Hopefully we are making ground….re-reading this - I am getting boring as I get busier. I will slow down soon or risk becoming as exciting as my Certified Public Accountant. ![]()
BTW, if you have e-mailed me recently and I have not gotten back to you…I am getting 2000 pieces of spam per day so e-mail is a bad way to contact me. I am working on alternative solutions.

Have you considered an adaptive (bayesian) spam filter? I’m not sure how you run your e-mail, but even a client-side filter like the one packaged in Mozilla Thunderbird can be hugely effective. I’ve found that after couple days of telling it what’s spam and what’s not, (which would be a pain with your volume) I’ve only had one false positive in about a year.
Of course, a new address works too.
Neil,
I have read about these bayesian filters…I’ll see if I can install it. Thanks for the tip mate.
Hey Sean!
Now I won’t take it personally that you didn’t respond to my lunch invite. ![]()
Airport shuttle service? Oui oui! Of all the times I’ve had to make a mad rush to PDX at zero o’clock in the morning, or a late night haul home after an exhausting trip, not ONE person has ever offered a ride.
Anyway, lunch? Sometime? Yes? I’m carless so downtown or close in would be fabulous. :))
Ciao doll!

Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]

BootsnAll has always prided itself on being a little bit different. We're still the only travel website out there that manually reads each and every membership application that we get. It makes the membership that little bit more valuable and keeps the majority of spammers away. In order to post comments on BootsnAll travel articles and leave reviews about … [Read more]

Sean, I thought that might happen since it happened last weekend with my emails. This weekend I sent you one that had “read me: xxxx whatever I was talking about xxxx” in the subject head.
Hopefully that read me got through.
Good luck with ridding yourself of that junk, Shuttle Boy.
