Why use the words ‘Severe’ and ‘Acute’ which mean the same …? Because people suffering from ARS could be too embarrassing!

I think the people in charge of monitoring the outbreak were really thinking ahead. Imagine in a couple of years time when 1 in 3 people has SARS but it is no longer life threatening. If an employee took a day off work an his boss asked why he’d have to say ‘it my ARS that giving trouble.’
Got to admire these guys!
