Some ?’s we receive…

Hi there!
I live in San Diego, and I’m ending a marriage. I have met a lady on-line who lives in Fortaleza. Her ad was on Brazil Girls.com. We have been writing and talking for almost a year now. She does speak a little English, but I don’t speak any Portuguese yet. I have considered taking Spanosh lessons here, since Portuguese is harder to find. Do you have any advise on the Spanish thing? Anne lives in an apartment a few blocks from the beach in the city. What are the difficulties do you see in my staying in the city for, say 3 weeks to start, and maybe longer later?

I know about tourists having to get a Visa from the consulate in San Francisco. There are no bugs to speak of in San Diego. Are they a problem in Fortaleza? Do you have to use a net when sleeping? XXXX’s apartment has A/C but she only uses it once in a while because of the cost. I could work there because what I do is entirely on the net and I get paid in US dollars.

Other than the language barrier ( how long did it take you to become comfortable) what do you think there might be in the way of problems
adjusting to life in Fortaleza? I still have to wait a while for some papers to be processed here so I can’t really come to Brazil until 2004…maybe January.

Sean, are you sure that’s not you, fantasizing about the mystery woman from Bali?

Phillip, the moment I saw your bootblog with the BrazilGirls.com website on it I immediately had to check it out before reading further. As soon as I logged on to it my sperm count shot up.

You don’t need to speak Portuguese. Just memorize a bunch of Antonio Carlos Jobim’s melodies and learn to dance with abandon. The language barrier will dissolve.

Get a tan, stay in a Speedo, keep a pet soccer ball with you and everything else will fall into place. Oh, and let her on top once in a while.

What is BootBlog?

BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.
