Sunday Memories: Old BootsnAll Pictures
Chris and I are in the office on Sunday afternoon trying todo some catch-up on work and packing for our upcoming move to Portland, OR. While cleaning out one of my drawers, I came across a bunch of old BootsnAll photos.
Chris and Sean in Yellowstone Park
We hiked a trail for 3 days called “Pebble Creek”. Chris set-up his camera on a downed tree and set the timer to get this one. It was on this trip that Chris and I wrote the original Code of Conduct.
Anti Mohawk Chris
Chris met me in Chicago in May of 1997 and before we left for Yellowstone National Park, I gave Chris a haircut with my dog clippers and took a picture in the middle of it. Do you know what the tatoo on Chris’ arm is of?
Chris forging river
This is another photo from the Pebble Creek Hike. Chris looks determined while crossing thise freezing river.
Sean on wall in Nepal
I hiked up into the mountains for a bit back in January 1997. Here I sat on a wall and children from the village joined me for a looksy.
Sean Butt Shot
This is a picture that many of you may know about…it is on my profile page. Many people over the 4 years at BootsnAll have commented about that picture. Most in a positive way…Originally my Dad “hated it”…but now he has learned to live with it and maybe even appreciates my determination to leave it up.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]

Awhile back I posted here about getting into the Boston Globe Travel Show for free. Turns out that was for the trade conference during the day on Friday Feb 19th, not the travel show for regular consumers like you and me that runs from the evening of Friday, February 19 to …

This was just terrific and hilarious!
First picture of Jesus and John with their staffs pondering their travel mission and the upcoming hurdles/joys of their trek.
The Mohawk, or rather anti-Mohawk, cut would definitely be *in* where I work.
What is the tatoo?
Thanks for posting this. Great fun.
