The World is Your Oyster
Well Portland is tomorrow at least with the running of the Portland Oyster Urban Adventure Race. I just discovered this today or else I would have seriously considered putting a team together for it. The race itself is kept secret right up until the start and you have no idea what you’ll be doing but should expect to be running, cycling, climbing, navigating and probably getting wet at some point.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Arthritis Foundation so you know you’re sweating for a good cause as well.
Here’s some video from one of their events. This is Portland’s first year.
Last year some friends of mine competed in a similar event in Chicago. That event is yet to make it’s way to Portland but I’d emailed the organizers to recommend it. It looks like a ton of fun. I reckon Portland’s layout makes it ideal for these types of adventure races and it’s good to know there’s one available for next year.

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
