The Zero Hour Approaches
Chris and Sean are moving around the office right now, picking up this, taking that upstairs to Nick, who’s finishing up his packing. Nick and Sean leave around 10am for the airport, and in a few hours Nick will be underway to London, and then to Bali.
Sitting here at my desk, checking email, scanning the blogs, seeing what’s new and ready to be tackled since shutting down my computer last night, I can’t quite decide if Nick’s leaving has or has not sunk in. I think it has; at the same time, he’s still here, and the pace around the office is quick; once the car pulls away, and I know Nick’s desk and apartment are empty, maybe then things will hit full force.
I’m not sad though; if anything, I’m kinda elated. Nick’s doing something he’s wanted to do for a while - and that makes me so happy for him, and proud of us for building BootsnAll to where we can start doing things like setting up the Bali operation.
It’s a little past 9am; the guys will leave soon. I’m raising a toast to a helluva guy, and to Bali, and to BootsnAll.
What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories

Those of you who read the BootBlog may remember my recent musings on how online friends become real-life friends. What some of you who read that article may not know is that I heard from several BootsnAll members after it was published who said, "Yeah, that's interesting and all, but we've been doing that for years now." And it's … [Read more]

Awhile back I posted here about getting into the Boston Globe Travel Show for free. Turns out that was for the trade conference during the day on Friday Feb 19th, not the travel show for regular consumers like you and me that runs from the evening of Friday, February 19 to …
