Travel Stimulus Package: Week Two
We’ve drawn the second prize in BootsnAll’s Travel Stimulus Package contest and the lucky winner is Ted Berg, from Somerville, MA. His prize is the Nintendo Wii, which we figured could stimulate travel by the money you’d save staying in playing games instead of going out to eat and party.
Ted is also involved in the Boston AIDS Walk, New England’s first and largest HIV/AIDS fund-raising event. They’re expecting over 15,000 people to participate in a 6 mile walk to raise money and awareness for the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts (AAC). The money will be used for AAC’s programs, services, and prevention efforts, as well as to raise awareness about the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Massachusetts. The walk will be on June 7th, 2009 and he’s captain of a team of colleagues called the McInnis Marchers, and they’re all connected to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. if you’re interested in supporting Ted on his walk, go here.
Congratulations, Ted. You should receive the Wii in the mail shortly. This week we’re giving away a Flip Mini HD Video Camcorder, as used by BootsnAll co-founder Sean Keener on his RTW trip. so get your entries in today!

What is BootBlog?
BootBlog is the company blog of the BootsnAll Travel Network, a company that has been connecting travellers since 1998. Our goal is to inspire, educate and cultivate an organic community of independent travellers. But what does that mean? Well, we love to travel and we love to connect other travellers who have the desire to get out and see this great world of ours. BootBlog will showcase what is going on around the office, around the company and within our community of travellers.Top Categories
