What was your first passport stamp?
Scotland.

How did you find BootsnAll, &/or what attracted you to it?
I was researching a trip years ago and came across BootsnAll. I really liked the forums and information and joined. I actually stopped using the site as life became busier and came across it again for a second time and re-joined (I forgot my old info). I haven’t looked back since.

What keeps you coming back to BootsnAll?
BootsnAll has great information and great people. Everyone with a passion for travel should be a member of BnA. Searching the website and interacting with other members keeps my passion for travel alive!

Is there a destination you have really liked in spite of it having a poor reputation?
Moron, Cuba. It was a great town. It gave a sense of real life in Cuba, not the life that usual tourists see in the resort towns. It was an eye-opener and I loved it there.

Do you have any upcoming trips? Where is next on your list?
Edinburgh for Hogmanay.

What is a place you’ve been to that you would go back to tomorrow given the chance?
Xi’an, China.

How many miles will you be travelling to be at the BootsnAll Party?
2700 miles.

What kind of boots do you have?
Northface. They were on clearance and they rock! ha ha

Any tips you found on BootsnAll or from other members on the forums that helped you on a trip?
I read so many threads on China before I travelled over there. I don’t think I would have even bothered to travel to Xi’an to see the Terra Cotta Warriors or some of the other beautiful sites of China.

Have you been to a BootsnAll party before? If so, what survival tips can you offer to any newbies?
I was at the party last year. I would say, eat first before you start drinking, omg I got too drunk way too fast. Be outgoing and sociable and if you can, stay in PDX for longer that 18hrs! This year I’m staying 3 nights…

Thanks for sharing, CanuckGirl. Be sure to say hi to her if you’ll be joining us at the party!
