T-minus 8.5 hours and counting…

Yesterday’s moderator meeting was great; static and Capt Steve were the only ones who could make it in the end, and yet we could have kept the meeting going for hours past the cutoff time. It’s exciting to hear all the great ideas that come out when people get together like that. I’m looking forward to going back over the notes I took at the meeting, circulating them amongst the mods who weren’t able to come, and making 2007 an amazing year for the BootsnAll community.

The folks who toured Yamhill County’s wineries on Friday swung by BnA HQ afterwards to say hello, which was great, and we met up with them – and several others – later at the bar. Since I’d only met six members prior to this weekend, it was a great opportunity to meet folks… It’s cool how well people seem to know each other, even those who haven’t met before, all because of the BnA community. It’s corny to say so, but that kind of thing really makes me proud of what we’re doing, and even more excited about the future.

And tonight is the party, which will cap the weekend nicely. I’ll be heading downtown in a few hours to go on the walking tour we arranged, and then rushing back home to get decked out in fancy duds for the par-tay. I’m exhausted from the last few days, and exhilarated at the same time. I’m sure I’ll collapse tomorrow, but that’s fine. I’ve been looking forward to today for months…
